Services

Eight capabilities, one team, one scope document.

Design, engineering and growth held in-house — so the architecture, the interface and the commercial rollout are decided by people who see each other's work.

How we work

The same five phases on every engagement.

Scope changes, stacks change, industries change. The sequence does not — diagnose before architecting, architect before building, harden before launching.

  1. 01

    Phase 01: Diagnose

    1 — 2 weeks

We look at the actual system, the actual data and the actual workflow before proposing anything. Output is a written assessment: where the constraint really is, what it costs you today, and the options ranked by cost and risk.

    Outputs

    4 deliverables
    • Technical and process assessment
    • Constraint identified and quantified
    • Options with cost, timeline and risk
    • A recommendation we are willing to defend
  2. 02

    Phase 02: Architect

    1 — 3 weeks

Domain model, route and data architecture, integration boundaries and non-functional requirements agreed in writing. This is the cheapest place to be wrong, so we spend the time here rather than discovering it in month four.

    Outputs

    4 deliverables
    • Domain and data model
    • Architecture decision record
    • Integration and API contracts
    • Performance budget and acceptance criteria
  3. 03

    Phase 03: Build

    4 — 16 weeks

Two-week cycles against a live environment you can open at any time. No screenshot theatre — you review working software with realistic data, and priorities can be reordered between cycles.

    Outputs

    4 deliverables
    • Working software every two weeks
    • Live staging environment from week one
    • Cycle reviews with a written summary
    • Visible backlog with priority agreed with you
  4. 04

    Phase 04: Harden

    1 — 3 weeks

The unglamorous work that decides whether launch is calm: permissions reviewed, error paths exercised, performance measured against the budget, migrations rehearsed and reversed.

    Outputs

    4 deliverables
    • Security and permission review
    • Performance and load verification
    • Migration rehearsal with rollback
    • Monitoring, alerting and error tracking
  5. 05

    Phase 05: Operate

    Ongoing

Launch is a checkpoint, not an ending. Under a retainer we watch real traffic, fix what the data exposes, and keep shipping the next increment of value.

    Outputs

    4 deliverables
    • Production monitoring and incident response
    • Iteration on measured behaviour
    • Documentation kept current
    • Handover to your team whenever you choose

Engagement

Choose the shape that matches your roadmap.

Fixed-scope for a defined outcome, a dedicated team for a moving one, augmentation when you need a specific senior capability, and a retainer once the platform is live.

Dedicated team

A standing squad that ships continuously

Best for

A product or platform with an ongoing roadmap, where priorities change month to month and certainty of scope is impossible in advance.

Includes

  • Named engineers and a technical lead
  • Two-week cycles with demos and written summaries
  • Direct access to the team — no account layer in between
  • You own the backlog and can reorder it every cycle
  • Documentation and code handed over as we go

Commercials

Monthly, per-team, with a 30-day rolling commitment. Scale the squad up or down at a cycle boundary.

Staff augmentation

Add senior capacity to the team you already have

Best for

An existing engineering team that needs specific senior capability — a payments or trading specialist, a performance engineer — without a hiring cycle.

Includes

  • Senior engineers who plug into your process and stand-ups
  • Your tooling, your repository, your conventions
  • Technical screening and reference material up front
  • A two-week trial period on both sides
  • Replacement without penalty if the fit is wrong

Commercials

Monthly per engineer. Minimum one month, then rolling. No placement fee.

Fixed-scope project

Defined outcome, defined price, defined date

Best for

Well-understood work with a clear finish line — a platform rebuild, a catalogue, a storefront, a performance remediation.

Includes

  • Written scope with explicit inclusions and exclusions
  • Fixed price and a committed delivery date
  • Staged payments tied to visible milestones
  • Change requests estimated and approved before work starts
  • A defined acceptance process

Commercials

Fixed price, typically 30 / 40 / 30 against milestones. The quoted number does not move unless the scope does.

Growth retainer

Continuous delivery, support and improvement

Best for

A platform already in market that needs steady attention — features, performance, maintenance — without hiring an in-house team.

Includes

  • A monthly allocation of engineering days
  • Priority handling for production incidents
  • Proactive monitoring and dependency maintenance
  • Performance and security review each quarter
  • Rollover of unused days within the quarter

Commercials

Monthly, from a minimum allocation. Cancel with one month's notice.
