Yalla Move — Civic walk-to-earn & merchant rewards platform, Saudi Arabia
Case Study

A walk-to-earn mobile and web platform in Saudi Arabia that turns verified footsteps in civic parks and promenades into merchant rewards, protected by geofencing and anti-fraud speed limits.

Taken from the project's own dependency manifest.

01

The problem

Move-to-earn products frequently collapse because users spoof GPS or count transit journeys as steps, while local merchants have no mechanism to convert digital sponsorship spend into verifiable foot traffic at physical branches.

02

The approach

We built a dual-role cross-platform mobile application paired with a centralized Next.js backend. The tracking engine requires walkers to physically remain inside municipal promenade geofences, enforces a strict 12 km/h speed cap to prevent vehicle fraud, and issues single-use encrypted QR coupons that merchants scan with their own phone cameras to verify and redeem instantly.

03

The outcome

A verified civic fitness ecosystem connecting walkers, local businesses and municipal authorities across Riyadh and Jeddah, turning civic activity into foot traffic with zero GPS spoofing.
